Showcase Gallery

The exhibition at the Showcase gallery was a big eye opener to foreign photography and the ways that other photographers present their work. Having the Photographer there was fantastic and made a lot of things that appeared in the photos make sense.
His main idea for capturing time as a theme was quite interesting. It seemed to me that he was trying to capture a certain part of time as history and record it as a passing moment.
The images of the 6 men with guns was a very big shock to the system once we found out the origins of them. A bit of a reality check i think as to how lucky we are to live in such a safe country as compared to the situation in Peru.

The feeling that comes from the images was a real fear from the subjects, and something that was not posed. Each subject posed themselves and showed a very real side to the terror in Peru at the time.

I was really impressed with the whole exhibition in total and enjoyed listening to the photographer about his images from a personal sense.
